Citizens for Development and Education CDE and Organisations for Community Civic Engagement, (OCCEN) a non Governmental Organisations have lamented the attitude of federal High Court Kano Judge for allegedly conducting his sitting during Maulud holiday against the norms, values culture of Kano people.
In a joint press conference by Amb. Ibrahim Waiya and Abdurrazak Alkali, Thursday said it is an obligation upon every person residing in Kano to respect the culture and tradition of Kano People.
They further alleged that the Jugde’s decision to conduct a court session during Maulud holiday has allegedly violates the Federal Government’s circular which declared Maulud as work free day.
They also called on the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere Ekun to transfer Justice Amobeda from Kano, alleging that a judge is not supposed to be so emotional while conducting proceeding.

Amb. Waiya and Alkali pointed out that the recent judgment delivered by the judge, sacking Kano State Independent Electoral Commission, KANSIEC demonstrates his plan to truncate existing Kano Peace.

The Civil Society Organizations urged CJN to review the attitude of Justice Amobeda to have a lasting peace in Kano.
