The Executive Secretary of the Kano State Science and Technical Schools Board (STSB), Associate Professor Dahiru Sale Muhammad, has attended the flag-off ceremony of the National Conference on Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) in Abuja.
The programme, initiated by the Federal Government, aims to address unemployment among over 7 million youths nationwide.

Professor Muhammad assured the Minister of Education and State Minister of Education of Kano State’s commitment to ensuring its students benefit fully from the programme. He noted that, given Kano’s large population, the TVET programme will significantly contribute to societal development.
“All of us are witnessing the efforts of Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabiru Yusuf, on education, as well as the encouragement and support he has been rendering to the STSB. So, I am assuring you that we will do everything in our power to ensure that Kano State benefits 100% from this program,” Associate Professor Dahiru Sale said this in a discussion with his Director, Sa’idu Shu’aibu Garko, shortly after the closing ceremony.

He then called on all directors, principals, and heads of schools to redouble their efforts in complementing the board’s and Kano State government’s efforts in employment generation through technical and vocational education in the state.
The conference was attended by the Minister of Education, State Minister of Education, Minister of Labour and Productivity, Minister of Youth and Sports, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, commissioners from various states, heads of technical and vocational institutions, among others.
