Heavy downpour: Road linking Jigawa to neighboring states submerged

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has said that the road from Birninkudu to Malawa, Babaldu and linking two neighboring States of Gombe and Bauchi is completely submerged by the overwhelming deluge passing over the bridge between Malamawa and Babaldu as a result of heavy downpour.

ASC Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmud, Public Relations Office, Kano Command made this known in a statement.

He urged the motoring public, especially those travelling to Malawa, Babaldu and the neighboring States mentioned earlier are advised to take alternative routes.

He revealed that NSCDC personnel were deployed to caution and warn motoring public and to redirect them to take other alternative routes.

“The general public are also advised not to go close as the road is not motorable.”
