Governor Yusuf Orders Immediate Rehabilitation of State-Owned French, Chinese College

In its continued effort to rejuvenate the education sector through the enhancement of teaching and learning, the Governor of Kano State has ordered the immediate and comprehensive rehabilitation of the state-owned College for French and Chinese Languages.

According to a statement by Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, Commissioner For Information and Internal Affairs, the directive was issued during an unscheduled visit by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to the college, located in Kwankwaso town of Madobi Local Government Area.

Speaking during the visit, the Governor said he was at the school to personally assess the condition of the facilities and the welfare of students and teachers. He expressed satisfaction with the performance of both the students and staff, particularly the students’ fluency in Chinese and French.

“I’m here on an unscheduled visit to see, firsthand, the living conditions of our students and teachers, as well as to assess the infrastructural state of the school,” Governor Yusuf stated. “I am very impressed with the students’ performance, especially their fluency in speaking Chinese. However, I am concerned about the deplorable state of the infrastructure.”

The Governor immediately directed the Commissioner for Works to commence the rehabilitation of all buildings and other dilapidated structures within the school premises.

He emphasized that the government will begin the renovation of all existing facilities without delay.
