Kano state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Sunday commiserated with the families of six Islamic Clerics who lost their lives in auto crash after returning from Sumaila local government, recently.
“The death of these gentlemen is not only a great loss to their families, but to the state as a whole. It was a real tragedy,” he said.

“We learned that, the Clerics, under the leadership of one Sheikh Alkassim Zakariyya, went on a tour under Imam Malik Islamic Foundation.
In a statement issued by Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kano State.
The Governor stated that the people of the state had lost men of substance who were God fearing during their lifetime.
“On behalf of the government and people of Kano state I am extending our condolences to their families, Imam Malik Islamic Foundation and their friends for the great loss.

“May Allah forgive all their shortcomings and reward their good deeds with Jannatul Fiddaus,” he said.
The six clerics included: Sheikh Alkassim, Malam Isiya Tela, Mustapha Musa Sa’ad, Malam Ishaq Rummawa, Malam Zakariyya Alkassim Dataka.
