A day after the closing ceremony of the Chief of Naval Staff Annual Conference 2021, in Kano, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje took the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo, for an 8-hour tour of some signature projects executed by governor, Saturday.
Governor earlier hinted, before the tour that, it could not be possible for him and his guests to tour all the projects embarked by his administration within 10 hrs or more. Which the Chief of Naval Staff nodded after 8 stressful hours of touring some selected projects.
Vice Admiral Gambo was with all the delegates, during the tour, who attended the Conference.
They included, principal officers from the Naval Headquarters, Flag Commanders and other foreign officers, among others.
The selected and toured projects were the celebrated and world standard Kano Cancer Centre, Kano State Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre, 3-Layered Dangi flyover, Sheikh Qariballah Nasiru Kabara flyover and underpass in Shahuci, Panshekara/Madobi flyover, Dala Inland Dry Port (of the federal government, but the piece of land and all the access roads and electricity supply are on the shoulders of the state government), among others.
While the Chief of Naval Staff appreciated the administration of governor Ganduje’s effort in the infrastructural development, as brought by the regime, he said, while at the Kano Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre, “I am bold to say that, this Centre addresses one of my dreams. That is for us to have a productive population and society as well.”
“The gap that has been in existence for long, will be addressed by this Skills Acquisition Centre. This is an all-important and all-inclusive project,” he commended.
As he explains that, skills acquisition is always important, as well as the infrastructural development he toured, he added that “We appreciate your effort Your Excellency in the economic development and prosperity of the state. Of which you are working in the right direction.”

Sunday, 5th September, 2021 said In his brief remarks at the Skills Acquisition Centre, the governor assured that, “Ours is not trial and error project. We undertook scientific research work before we arrived at the types of trades to give priority to, in this Centre. A research was conducted in designing the complex and the type of machines installed.”
“With this Acquisition Centre we are making Kano a hub of skills. And for sustainability we are employing some highly technical people. We are making a Law for sustainability. So it is not going to be business as usual,” governor encouraged.
