FRSC Kano Sector Command Decorates New Officers, Unveils Patrol Vehicles

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano State Command on Thursday  held a decoration ceremony of newly converted Marshals to the Officers’ Cadre.

CRC  Abdullahi  Labaran  Public Relations Officer of command in a statement issued the ceremony, held at the Command’s premises, was presided over by the Sector Commander, CC UM Masa’udu.

Addressing the gathering, CC Masa’udu expressed delight and excitement at this occasion, describing it as a proud moment not only for the newly decorated Officers but also for the entire FRSC.

He stated that the conversion marked a historic step in the careers of these Officers and represented a significant development in the history of the Corps.

The Sector Commander noted that “this development is a reflection of the forward-thinking leadership of the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed.

The Corps Marshal, in his commitment to enhancing the operational efficiency of the FRSC, approved the unprecedented harmonization of the Marshals’ rank structure.

As a result, 1,395 Marshals nationwide were converted to the Officers’ Cadre, including 61 Marshals from the Kano State Command.

In his address, CC Masa’udu expressed the Command’s profound gratitude to the Corps Marshal for for exceptional achievement and commended his ongoing efforts to bring about positive changes within the Corps.

He prayed for the Corps Marshal’s continued success, health, and wisdom in leading the FRSC to greater heights.

The Sector Commander congratulated the newly converted Officers, advising them to embrace their new responsibilities with commitment and professionalism.

He reminded them that “to whom much is given, much is expected,” and that the Corps now expects them to uphold the highest standards of discipline, loyalty, and dedication in their new roles”.

He emphasized that the transition to the Officers’ Cadre comes with increased responsibilities and challenges, urging them to be prepared to meet these expectations.

CC Masa’udu also reassured those yet to be converted, affirming that the harmonization policy has been firmly established within the FRSC. He expressed confidence that the Corps Marshal would continue to introduce policies aimed at improving staff welfare and motivating personnel for greater performance.

Additionally, the Sector Commander used the occasion to officially launch new patrol vehicles allocated to RS1.21 Dambatta Unit Command and RS1.27 Wudil Unit Command by the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja.

These vehicles will enhance the operational capacity of the Command in maintaining road safety across Kano State.

In conclusion, CC Masa’udu once again congratulated the newly converted Officers and celebrated with them and their families on this joyous occasion, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
