The Federation of International Women Lawyers (FIDA), Kano State Branch, has congratulated the new President and other National Executive Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on their election victory.

In a congratulatory message sighted by Justice Watch News, the Chairperson of the FIDA Kano Branch, Bilkisu Ibrahim Suleiman Esq. extended heartfelt congratulations to the New elected President of the Bar, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN.
The Kano Chairperson of FIDA similarly rejoiced with FIDAN Sisters who emerged as 2nd and 3rd Vice President, Treasurer, Publicity Secretary and Assistant Publicity Secretary.
“Your dedication, hard work, and commitment to the legal profession have led to this well-deserved success in this election. As you step into this new role, I am confident that your leadership will bring about positive changes and further strengthen our association. MR President MAZI AFAM your vision, empathy, resilience and experience will undoubtedly guide us towards greater accomplishments and enhance the legal profession in Nigeria.” Bilkisu Ibrahim stated

Bilkisu Ibrahim Suleiman who is also a former Chairperson NBA Kano Women Forum added that FIDA Kano, is looking forward to collaborating with you and supporting your initiatives to advance justice, uphold the rule of law, and protect the rights of all citizens.
She highlighted that “I have been looking forward to women participation in NBA politics. At a point, it felt impossible, but with this combination, I have hope that in the future, we will produce another female president for the Bar.”
She maintained that “Together, we can make significant strides in promoting a just and equitable society.
“Once again, congratulations on your remarkable achievement. Wishing your tenure success in all your endeavors as the 34th President of the NBA.”

In the message, the Chairperson acknowledged and applauded FIDA NIIGERIA headed by Amina Abaje for the Rebursed Leadership Training and Positivism in FIDA Nigeria that groomed, mentored and inspired five sisters to attained this landmark success in NBA leadership.
