The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Jigawa Command, said it has concluded arrangement to deploy 345 personnel to ensure safety of lives and property during the forth coming 2023 Eid-elf-Fitr celebration in the state.
A statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SRC Ibrahim Gambo, in Dutse, said the FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Mr Ahmed Mohammed directed the deployment of all its personnel and logistic for patrol, surveillance and traffic control between April 20 and April 25.
“FRSC in Jigawa will deploy 345 personnel, comprising of Officers, Marshals, and 45 Special Marshals, as well as eight patrol vehicles and three life supporting ambulances across the state,” Gambo said.
He quoted the sector commander as appealing to all motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations during and beyond the festive period.
The spokesperson added that the Corps will collaborate with other security agencies and judiciary to prosecute under age drivers and reckless driving.
According to him, the gesture is part of the command’s concerted effort to ensure free flow of traffic on all the road across the state, as well ensure safety of lives and property.
