Eid-El-Fitr: NSCDC deploys 1050 Personnel to Provide Effective Security in Jigawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State Command has deployed 1050 personnel to provide effective security in the State during EID-EL-FITR Sallah celebrations and beyond.

The State Commandant Musa Alhaji Mala (CC), gave assurances that his personnel will provide adequate and effective security and 24hr surveillance throughout the festive period and beyond across the nooks and crannies of the State.

In his quest to see that the Eid celebration is conducted without any hitch, the State Commandant tasked all component Commanders including heads of various tactical Units, Area Commanders and Divisional officers to hold the fort and ensure a crime free Eid el fitr celebrations.

The personnel will be deployed to strategic places including Eid grounds, durbar routes, palaces, shopping malls, markets recreational centers, motorparks, as well as all Government Buildings and Installations. Some identified public spots are equally marked and targeted.

The officers are to work in synergy with other law enforcement agencies in providing watertight security. Mobile and Static patrols will be mounted and a stop and search operation will also be emplaced at various locations, as such the general public are urged to give maximum cooperation to the officers conducting the exercise. Rapid response team is also stationed at the Command Headquarters for emergencies and reinforcements.

The State Commandant while wishing the good people of the State a happy and hitch free Ei-el-Fitr celebrations, admonished parents to superintendent over the activities and movements of their wards especially youth and children.
