The non-governmental organization War Against Injustice (WAI) has written a letter to the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, seeking his intervention regarding the exclusion of diploma in law graduates from Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) Direct Entry exercise.
The letter, signed by the Executive Director of the NGO, Comr. Umar Ibrahim Umar highlighted the injustice and unfairness of the situation appealing the Governor’s action to resolve the issue.

The letter detailed the hardship that the students and graduates have been facing as a result of their exclusion from the Direct Entry exercise, and highlighted the urgency of the situation, given the rapidly approaching deadline.
The NGO similarly called on the Governor to take immediate steps to resolve the problem to allow the students and graduates pursue their legal education without further delay.
“War Against Injustice is committed to ensuring that all students and graduates have equal access to educational opportunities, and will continue to advocate for justice and equality in all areas of life.”
“It believes that the students and graduates of the Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies deserve a fair and equitable chance to pursue their legal careers, and it will continue to fight for their rights.

The NGO assured keeping the public updated on the progress of the matter, and hopes that the Kano State Governor will take swift and decisive action to address the concerns of the students and graduates.
