A Kano State Magistrate court number 58 presided over by Aminu Muhammad Gabari has terminated the alleged defamation cases against Danbilki Kwamanda and Mu’azu Magaji Dansarauniya.
Justice Watch News recalls that the duo were arraigned separately over alleged defamation of Character.

Abdulmajid Danbilki kwamanda was arraigned over the allegations of defaming the of character Kano state Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Inciting Public disturbance and Falsehood to Injurious comment against the personality of the Governor.

He was arraigned over the alleged defamation of character, impersonation and public disturbance, contrary to section 392, 399 and 324 of the Penal Code.
On the other part, Muaz Magaji Dansarauniya was accused of posting the image on his Facebook page where Kano State Governor Ganduje was seen having an intimate chat with a female in his office, an act, the complainer alleged was capable of portraying the governor as immoral and ungodly man.

Justice Watch News recalls that the defendants pleaded not guilty to their charges.
The offenses are punishable under sections 114, 264, and 399 of the Kano State Penal Code.

The presiding Magistrate terminated the cases upon an application by Barrister Wada Ahmad Wada, Principal State Counsel, Kano State Ministry of Justice, under Section 211(B)of the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended and Section 125 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) 2019 of Kano State which give powers to the Attorney General of Kano State to terminate any criminal case at any court before Judgement is delivered.
