Lagos Police Command has arrested one Kamoru Ojo for the alleged murder of his 27-year-old daughter, Shakirat.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos state Command made this known in a statement.

He said the incident reportedly occurred at their home in the Ojo area on Thursday, April 3, 2025, when a disciplinary action by the father allegedly turned fatal, causing Shakirat to lose consciousness and die.
He noted that in an attempt to hide his actions, Ojo is said to have buried his daughter in a shallow grave within their compound.
The PPPRO maintained that the crime was discovered after concerns were raised about Shakirat’s disappearance, leading to a police investigation that uncovered her body. Police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest, the recovery of the body for autopsy, and the ongoing investigation.

He added, “The corpse has been found, evacuated from the shallow grave, and deposited at a public morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, the suspect has been arrested, and an investigation is in progress.” He however stated
