The Adamawa State Police Command has said that in its efforts to combat all forms of violent crimes within the state has apprehended a young man and recovered a jack knife and Handset.

SP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje Police Public Relations Officer Adamawa State Command made this known in a statement issued, Sunday.
He said on 8th January, 2025, the police operatives attached to Hong Divisional police Headquarters swiftly acted on a distress call reporting an armed robbery attack.
He noted that the suspects armed themselves with offensive weapons and attacked Mrs. Laraba Akanawaya, a staff with College of Education, Hong, and robbed her of her phone.
“One of the suspects, identified as Ferdinand Yerima, was arrested at the scene, and a jackknife used in committing the crime along with the stolen phone was recovered. While others fleed to avoid arrest.”

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has Directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police Investigation to take over the case for discreet investigation, he equally reaffirmed the Command’s determination to eradicate criminal activities across the state and urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
