The Federal High Court sitting in Kano, presided over by Justice Abdullahi Muhammad Liman has slated 14th October, 2022 for hearing in a case filed by Peoples Democratic party (PDP) aspirant in Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Abacha, praying the court to declare him winner of the Party Primary election in the state, conducted on 25th May, 2022 under the supervision of INEC.
The Plaintiff approached the court seeking declaration that INEC who has in its custody name of the Plaintiff as the winner of the PDP gubernatorial primary election in Kano state.

When the case resumed Tuesday for the hearing of substantive suit, counsel to the defendants filed their processes out of time.
The Defendants in the case include Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Sadik Aminu Wali,
They consquently applied for an adjournment to enable them file their processes and serve the Plaintiff within time.

In the Originating Summon, Alhaji Muhammad Abacha is also praying the court to restrain the INEC its officers, agents and privies from further recognising Sadik Aminu Wali or any other person apart from Gubernatorial Candidate for the PDP in Kano State for 2023 Governorship Elections.
