People of Tsafe and Yankara in Tsafe local government area and Faskari local government area of Zamfara and Katsina States, wants a comprehensive military action in the areas to dislodge bandits terrorising their domains.
In an interview with some of the residents in the two towns they said this is necessary to enable them go back to farm and harvest their farm produce.

According to them, at present this is very difficult for them to go outside their towns for any activity as bandits have laid siege on the areas.
One of those who spoke, Kallamu Tsafe said of recent bandits have increased the tempo of their activities in the two affected areas, targeting farmers, travellers, and communities along Gusau to funtua road.
He said this has forced many people not to travel outside their areas as bandits now on a daily basis blocked the major highway that passes through the areas three to four times a day, kidnapping passerby.

Also commenting Mal Shamsu Yankara expressed regret that if the situation is not contained, many farmers will not be able to harvest their produce in the farm.
He also expressed concern that the recent killings of six members of the state owned security outfit community watch guard by bandits along Yankara to Faskari road had instill fear in the minds of residents of the area.
Our Reporter recalled that in the last few days, bandits activities increased in the two neighbouring communities and killings of at least Fourteen state government owned security personnel at Faskari and Tsafe local government areas.
