We’re ready for May 29 inauguration/ swearing-in ceremony in Jigawa – DSP Shiisu

The Jigawa Command of Nigeria Police has said that all security arrangements have been put in place for the hitch-free May 29 inauguration ceremony/ swearing in the new administration, scheduled to take place at Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse metropolitan, Jigawa state.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam Jigawa Command Public Relations Officer, made the disclosure in a statement issued, Sunday.

He maintained that police will work assiduously with Sister Security Agencies and Relevant Stakeholders for the seamless inauguration ceremony.

“Therefore, the command warns that non-state actors or any aggrieved persons or individuals who may plan to foment trouble are advised to desist, as the command will not hesitate to subdue confrontational or any act of disorderliness.”

He revealed that the Command is advising good people of Jigawa to turn out to the venue in an orderly manner and avoid carrying dangerous weapons or items that may trigger suspicion or apprehension. They should also avoid dangerous driving, over-loading, and over-speeding and observed traffic rules and regulations.

He further said the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Effiom Emmanuel Ekot reiterated that the safety and security of Jigawa citizens are the utmost priority.
