A Kano State Fire Service says a tragic road accident unfolded near Dinyar Madiga in Takai Local Government Area, Friday evening, claimed four lives and several others injured.
PFS Saminu Yusuf Abdullahi Agency’s Public Relations Officer made this known in a statement.
He explained that the incident tragically resulted in the loss of four lives and left numerous others with injuries.

He said it was reported that a motorbike carrying three individuals attempted to overtake a bus, resulting in a collision that caused the bus to overturn and catch fire.
He revealed that upon arrival at the scene, firefighters discovered four people unconscious and managed to rescue six others, including the bus driver.
He further explained that Medical attention was immediately provided to those injured, who were transported to Takai NYSC Hospital.
“Unfortunately, doctors later confirmed the deaths of four individuals who were unable to be identified.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident was caused by the motorbike rider’s reckless overtaking and excessive speed, leading to a loss of control.”

PFS Abdullahi added that the victims have been handed over to the Takai Police Division for further investigation.
