In simple definition, peace is the cornerstone of attaining speedy growth in life. It is on record that most societies that attained development across the globe was as a result of peace and concord they have been experiencing for decades as a proverb says peace is happiness.

While on the other way round the opposite was the case across communities that were living in dangers and absolute tatters and penury.

Unequivocally, for time without number,  politics across the environment has been riddled by dejected and shabbily acts let alone over blown by in fighting among opposition groups across the length and breadth of the wider majority.

This without much ado has been posing much concern to serious minded citizens in view of the position the ancient city holds not only in Nigeria alone but rather the West African sub region, which any error will by no means make it laughing stock within the enlarged community to some extent as most people are now after your blunder.

It is delightful to mention that Kano the birth place of two of the leading radical politicians in the country revered Malam Aminu and Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar, is unarguably the umbilical cord of Politics Countrywide as when it sneezes others catch cold.

Certainly, numerous politicians in the past and present usually come to the ancient city to learn how the game is practiced.

Thus it set the pace for others to follow hence the need to show classical example as a teacher’s assignment is always to guide his disciples with a view to becoming proud ambassadors of their immediate environment.

This without fear or favour is how things are supposed to be practiced aimed at ensuring tolerance and harmonious coexistence among the citizenry..

Righteously,as an elder statesman Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim of blessed memory says ,politics without bitterness this was how things should be supposed to in order to uphold respect , decency and mutual cohesion among members of a given community irrespective of the party they belong as the case is in other climes.

While defining politics Chairman Mao of People’s Republic of China described it as War without bloodshed , in other words it is a battle that would not lead to blood bath but understanding among contestants struggling for power this is a clearl example of how the game should be.

It was stated that despite the existing arch rivalry between President Shehu Shagari and Governor Rimi way back during the second Republic this did not stop the later from greeting the former in the early morning on each passing day.

It was also stated that despite the intriguing differences among the three leading political figures during the first Republic encompassing Sardauna, Awolowo and Azikiwe, they usually sat and discussed matters of bilateral interest to the nation.

It was in this light that Vice President Kashim Shetima should be adulated when he was in the state to mourn the death of Galadiman Kano where he drew the attention of the political gladiators on the need to uphold peace and mutual understanding in their interactions as Kano is always a role model in the field of politics
He Said politics should not divide their relationship of long standing.

This uprightness and visionary ideals are worthy of commendation as politics is something that would come and go within the shortest possible time like sprinkle of an eye but respect, tolerance, dignity stays forever as a phrase says no condition is permanent as your best friend would one day become your best enemy and vice versa.

To this end there is the urgent need for actors of the field to always make forgiveness and patience their watch words this will definitely help in sanitizing the game.
