The Sokoto Police Command has arrested Musbahu Auwal, a security personnel working at the National Broadcasting Commission’s Zonal Office in Sokoto, for allegedly conspiring with accomplices to steal office materials and other items.
DSP Ahmad Rufai Command’s Spokesperson made this known in a statement.
He said on 17th January, 2025 at about 1450hrs; One Ladan Muhammad ‘M’ Zonal Director National Brodcasting Commission Sokoto, went to Uguwar Rogo Police Station and reported a case of theft by Unknown in his Office at Gagi Area Sokoto.
He explained that on receipt of the information, Policemen led by the DCO rushed to the scene and discovered that some items were missing.
According to him, the Items included, “Three KVA Inverter and Three 600 KVA inverter batteries, One fridge compressor, one brand new tyre for Office bus and 32 inch LG Television.”

He maintained that one Mishabahu Auwal, a security guard at the Office was invited to the Police station and Upon Interrogation, he confessed to had conspired with one Ismaila Ahmad ‘M’ of Nakasare Area and made away with the said items.
He added that investigation was expanded One Yahuza Tukur and Abdulrahman Abbas all ‘M’ of Nakasare Area Sokoto were arrested in concelling the Stolen Properties while one Basiru Lawali ‘M’ of kuffa Area, Murtala Tijani ‘M’ of Kwanni Area and Abubakar Umar M of Gangaren Kuffa Area Sokoto were arrested as their recievers and all Exhibits were recovered.

The Commissinoner of Police Cp Ahmed Musa, commended Operatives and cooperation being enjoyed from the Public.
He further advised citizens to continue supporting the Police for effective service delivery.
The Police Boss assured that the suspects wil be deligently prosected.
