When the content of the Report was read to the Garba, he admitted insulting the Complainant and denied defaming his character.

Consequently, Defense Counsel, Barrister Badamasi Gandu urged court to admit his client to bail stating that he wouldn’t jump bail and ready to provide credible sureties.

In his ruling on the bail application, the Presiding Shari’a Court Judge denied the bail request, citing concerns that releasing Khalifa Garba at this time would put his life in danger.

The judge emphasized that, for his own safety, it is best for the defendant to remain in custody for the time being.
