Security Assessment: Gombe CP Pays Unscheduled Visit to INEC Office

The Gombe State Commissioner of Police CP Oqua Etim has paid an unscheduled visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission Gombe State, to assess Police deployment to the Commission.

ASP Mahid Mu’az Abubakar, Command’s Public Relations Officer who disclosed this in a statement said the visit was follow a recent attacks on INEC facilities in some part of Nigeria.

The Commissioner of Police Gombe State Police Command CP Oqua Etim during the visit also said its the responsibility of the Police as the led agency in Election Security to provide the Commission with adequate security across its facilities and it’s environs including staff.

The CP while appreciating the support of the Commission to the command in providing timely information also reiterated his commitment to providing a level playing ground for peaceful conduct of the 2023 General Election.

The CP Etim assured members of the public of tight security before during and after the process.
