Sallah: FRSC deploys 430 personnel, 9 vehicles in Jigawa

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Jigawa State Command, has deployed 430 personnel, nine vehicles, including four ambulances to ensure crash free Eid-el-Kabir celebration in the state.

The FRCS Sector Commander in the state, Mr Usman Ibrahim, made this known to newsmen in Dutse.

Ibrahim said the command has taken proactive measures to combat road crashes across the state during the festive period.

“There are strategises already in place to combat crashes on our roads during this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, with a special patrol that commenced today.

“The objective of this special operations is to achieve reduction in road traffic crashes, fatalities, injuries, promot response to crashes victims, among other things,” Ibrahim said.

He added that the command will also carry out aggressive enforcement, including mobile courts to try violators of traffic laws.

Ibrahim listed speeding, dangerous driving, wrongful overtaking, lane indiscipline, route violation, road obstruction, loading of trailers passengers and illegal use Spy number plates as part of offences the corps will check during the operation.

He therefore, called on vehicle drivers and other road users across the state to cooperate with command for successful conduct of the exercise.

While wishing residents a crash free celebrations, Ibrahim assured of its renewed vigour to entranch sanity on all major roads and highways in the state.
