The training of the 2019 new intakes of the NSCDC has commenced in earnest at the Command’s headquarters, Kano.
Addressing the newly recruits, Commandant Idris Adamu Zakari enjoined them to be attentive throughout the training exercise and show tremendous respect to the instructors.
” I urge you to be self- discipline officers. Don’t allow your instructors to impose discipline on you. Grab this job the same way you hold your life in high esteem. You’re opportuned to get this job, but don’t forget millions outside are looking for the same opportunity, so sacrifice all that you’ve for this job”. Comdt Zakari advised.
Mr. Idris pointed out that the management is ready to mould them become refined and Gallant officers at the end of the training, removing in them the civilian mentality.
Over 400 newly intakes have been documented in the Command and have since started undergoing intensive and rigorous 3-month training program after which they’ll proceed to the Civil Defence College for continuation of training and subsequent graduation.
Earlier at a muster parade, the Kano Commandant of the Corps commended the management team for keeping the Command vibrant while he’s in Abuja attending the CG’s quarterly conference revealing that the much talked about ‘ salary arrears’ will be paid soon.
