POWA Commissions 6 Classrooms at Police Children School in Jigawa

The chairperson of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Jigawa State Chapter Mrs. Gift Emmanuel Effiom assisted by her husband the Commissioner of Police Jigawa State Command CP. Effiom Emmanuel Ekot, commissioned and handed over six (6) classrooms with three (3) number toilets to Police Children School Dutse, Jigawa State.

In attendance, were the members of the Command’s Management Team, Area Commanders, Commanding Officer 35PMF, Head of Departments, Divisional Police Officers, POWA/PWA members of Jigawa state Command, and the School’s Leadership.

Also, in her effort to support the educational background and to plant a seed in the heart of the future generation, the POWA chairperson donated instructional materials to Police Children School Dutse and Ringim respectively.

According to DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam Jigawa Police Command Spokesperson, in a statement, the project was commenced in January 2023, with the effort made by the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), the Commissioner of Police, the immense support of the Jigawa state Government, and other prominent personalities right from the foundation to the successful completion of the project.

The POWA chairperson thanked the Jigawa state Government and all other prominent personalities who contributed financially or otherwise.

She further appealed for the provision of three-seater chairs for the pupils and tables for the teachers in the built classrooms.
