Police to Embark on Shooting Range Exercise in Sokoto


Sokoto State Police Command has informed all residents in the state that the command will embark on a shooting range exercise from Monday, June 13 to Friday, June 18 between 0600hrs and 1800hrs at the Army range ground along Kware-Illelah road.

In a statement by DSP Sanusi Abubakar,
Police Public Relations Officer, Sokoto Command made this known in a statement issued on Saturday.

“In view of this, he said, the command notified all and sundry to stay away and should not panic, especially residents in the following villages: Gidan Yamma, Mashedi, and Tsire villages along the Kware-Illelah road.”

“While reiterating our commitment to sustaining peace in the state, we call on members of the public to cooperate with the police in this gesture.” He enjoined.
