…As illicit substances were recovered
In a renewed effort to rid Jigawa State of crime and criminality, the Jigawa State Police Command successfully conducted a series of coordinated raids on criminals’ hideouts and black spots across the state between 2nd and 6th September, 2025.
SP Shiisu Lawan Adam Police Public Relations Officer, Jigawa State Command, Dutse made this known in a statement.
He said the operations were carried out by crack teams of policemen drawn from Dutse, Guri, Birnin Kudu, Bamaina, Babura, and Roni Divisions, acting on credible intelligence regarding the activities of drug dealers, barons, and other miscreants disturbing public peace.
According to him, during the raids, thirteen (13) suspected drug dealers/barons were arrested.
The suspects are identified as follows:
1. Basiru Garba ‘m’ age 40yrs,
2. Ladan Muhammad ‘m’ age 29yrs,
3. Hassan Ali ‘m’ age 25yrs,
4. Abubakar Sa’adu ‘m’ age 32yrs,
5. Ahmad Muhammad ‘m’ age 20yrs,
6. Aminu Hamisu ‘m’ age 22yrs,
7. Muhammad Abdullahi ‘m’ age 20yrs,
8. Suleiman Abdullahi ‘m’ age 20yrs,
9. Abubakar Auwalu ‘m’ age 20yrs,
10. Faruk Abdullahi ‘m’ age 25yrs,
11. Isah Ismail ‘m’ age 18yrs,
12. Hassan Aliyu ‘m’ age 21yrs,
13. Usman Muhammad ‘m’ age 21yrs, all of various addresses from Dutse, Guri, Roni, Birnin Kudu, and Babura LGAs, as well as Nguru LGA of Yobe State.

He explained that, in the course of the operation, the following illicit drugs and exhibits were recovered:
Exol tablets: 704 pieces, Tramadol tablets: 264 pieces, Diazepam: 03 pieces, D5: 2,042 pieces, Rubber solution: 48 pieces, Indian hemp: 4 blocks and 148 wraps, Vivo handset (suspected to be stolen), White and red capsules: 602 pieces and Liquid substances: 6 liters.
He further said the suspects were charged in court after completion of a discreet investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Dahiru Muhammad, reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to keeping the state safe, warning all criminal elements to either desist from their unlawful activities or face the full wrath of the law. He also called on members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to the police to enable proactive responses.
