Katsina Command of Nigeria Police has said that its operatives have raided criminal hideouts in Hunguma and Gozaki Villages and successfully rescued four kidnapped victims.
SP Gambo Isah, Katsina Command Public Relations Officer made this known in a statement, Monday.
He said the four Victims include: Sa’idu Alhaji Iliya, M, aged 51yrs of Nasarawan Dankali village, Mahuta ward, Kafur LGA, Yusuf Umar, M, aged 31 years, and Abdullahi Bello, M, aged 35 years, both of Bauchi state.

He revealed that one of the victims (Abdullahi Bello) sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
“Many of the terrorists were feared dead or fatally injured during the rescue operation.”
“A team of policemen is still combing the area with a view of arresting the wounded terrorists and/or recovering their dead bodies.”
Similarly according to him, in another development, on Monday at about 0800 hrs, the command, in collaboration with NSCDC and Vigilante group, raided a criminal hideout at Tamarke village, Bakori LGA, and rescued one Abdulsalam Mai Washi, M, aged 40 years, of Gidan Chirai village, Mahuta ward, Kafur LGA.

“The victim was kidnapped in his residence by terrorists wielding AK-47 rifles on 13th January, 2023, at about 0100 hrs and demanded a ransom of eight million naira from his family. But based on credible intelligence, the he victim was rescued unharmed.”
He added that effort is on with a view to arresting the culprits as investigation is ongoing.
