Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects in Gombe

Police in Gombe has arrested Two armed robbery suspects, robbing public their property at Bogo Community.

ASP Mahid Mua’zu Abubakar, Police Public Relations Officer, Gombe State Police Command made the disclosure in a statement.

He identified the suspects arrested as Abdullahi Muhammed, 25 years and Adamu Ali, 22, all resident of Bolori Quarters in Gombe State

He said on 10th March, 2023 at about 1100hrs men of operation Hattara recieved a distress call that the suspect were at Bogo quarters robbing of their properties.

He explained that one of the victim was on her way to pick up her kids from school when the two suspects came from using cutlasses and attacked her from behind and collected the phone.

On 10/03/2023 at about 11:00hrs, men of operation Hattara received a distress call that the above-named suspects were at Bogo quarters robbing people of their properties, one of the victims was on her way to pick up her kids from school when the two suspects came from behind using cutlasses and attacked her from behind and collected the phone.

“The team successfully rescued one Fatima Muhammed ‘F’ of Bogo quarters and recovered her Nokia handset, the suspects were arrested and confessed to the crime, exhibits recovered includes; One Gionee smartphone, One Nokia keypad and two cutlasses.”

He noted that the case will soon be charged to court for prosecution.

The PPRO similarly said on March, 2023 at about 11:00, one Adamu Ali reported that sometime between January to March 2023, one Abubakar Muhammed 38yrs m’ of malam-inna qtrs Gombe alleged to have committed the act of grooss indency against his three biological daughters aged 8yrs, 9yrs, 12yrs and 14yrs old at islamiyya school malam inna qtrs Gombe.

He revealed that the suspect happened to be the teacher of the victims.

Both the victims and suspect were taken to the Police clinic for medical examination meanwhile suspect confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for prosecution.

“The Command wishes to once again call on parents or guardians to keep closer watch over their children and monitor their activities in schools, on errand or playing with their peers at public places especially girl child and ensure that measures for increasing the risk of opportunities for such heinous crimes against the young persons/childrens.” ASP Mahid further said.
