The Police Command in Delta State says it has arrested 113 suspected criminals in continuation to ensure adequate protection of lives and property in the State from May to date.
The Police also disclosed that it rescued one kidnapped victim and three women from a baby factory situated at Obodogba community in Okpanam Delta State on July 10.

The State Commissioner of Police, Ari Mohammed Ali, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Delta State.
He said the arrest was made between May 20 and July 18 while on intelligence led patrol and complaint’s in the fight against crime and criminality.
“The suspects were arrested at different times and locations within the period under review.
“The suspects include two kidnappers,four suspected murders, 19 armed robbers, one ritualist and 87 cultist.”
He revealed that the Command recovered three tricycles, charms, 75 suspected stolen phones, and two POS machines
“Two locally made cut-to-size single barrel guns, three rounds of expended cartridges, three rounds of live cartridges and one dagger.
Other items recovered include 100 rounds of 7.62MM AK 47 live ammunition, two cut-to-size locally made guns, one expended cartridge and Eiye Confraternity regalia.
“On June 15, the Command received a tip off, that some suspected Eiye Confraternity Cult group will be marking their anniversary in Ogwashi-Uku.
“The Command swiftly acted on this information and located where and when the ceremony will be held stormed the venue and arrested the suspects”

He also said that on July 1, Operatives attached to ‘B’ Division Warri, while on Aberdeen patrol, engaged in a gun duel, during which five suspected armed robbers of the sustained serious gunshot injuries and later died.
He commended residents of the state for their support and solicited for more support.
The CP said the Command is also engaging members of the public particularly the youths on the need to shun all forms of social vices, especially cultism and kidnapping which are the most prevalent in the State.

“I also visited Obiaruku and Owa-Oyibu communities and met with the various stakeholders, traditional rulers on ways to curb the menace caused by the activities of kidnappers in their communities and adequate deployments have been made to the affected areas and relative peace has been achieved”. CP Mohammed-Ali said.
