PHOTOS: Emergency, Rescue, Disaster Management: NSCDC Stations Clinic Ambulance at MAKIA

Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano Command has provided
a brand new Toyota Hiace (mobile clinic ambulance) to be stationed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport for rescue operation, disaster management and emergency related incidents.

Kano Command’s Public Relations Officer, NSCDC, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi made this known Thursday in a statement.

He said the vehicle will be manned by personnel of the NSCDC  to proactively prepare for rescue and disaster that may occur at the Airport

While receiving the vehicle, the Manager of the Airport Malam A A Gambo thanked the Corps for the gesture, revealing that the ambulance has come when its most needed at the airport, stating his readiness to take a proper care of the vehicle.

“The movement of the vehicle to airport followed a directive by the state commandant, Commandant Adamu Idris Zakari,” he said

In another development, the state commandant, Adamu Idris Zakari has decorated the Command’s Sportsmen with medals and a trophy won at the recently concluded One Service One Medal Games ( OSOM) held in Abuja.

Acccording to the statement the beneficiaries include: Kamal Bako, a golfer, rated as number 1 professional golfer in Nigeria, won a gold medal. Ibrahim Garba, a golfer also won a gold medal and Rabiu Sulaiman, won a bronze medal in golf.

Others are Idris Abdul, gold medal in Taekwando, Salisu Abdul silver medal in Taekwando, and Abdulqadir Ahmed was chosen as top goal scorer in football and the tournament’s Best Player.

According to the statement, Commandant Adamu Idris charged the recipients to rededicate themselves in various fields of sport to achieve greater success personally and as well uplift and project the image of civil defence.
