Patriotic Elders Cautions Ortom On Fulani’s….But Urge Them To Forgive Him

The National Patriotic Elders Forum For Peace and Progress, have taken a hard nock on the Benuea State Governor Samuel Ortom, over his recent “unfortunate, ungentlemanly”, comments on Fulani’s and the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, describing the outburst “a flammatory statements capable of plunging Nigeria to Ethnic Civil Unrest”.

However, despite their serious concerns on the Statements, the Elders asked Fulani’s and the Atiku Abubakar to forgive the Governor Samuel Ortom, since he has lately understand his wrongs.

The President of the National Patriotic Elders, Dr Bature AbdulAziz, said in a released he personally signed and issued to Newsmen in Kano, Saturday, that it is high time, Nigeria Leaders holding offices of authority would be guiding their Comments, remaarks and general statements, because whatever they said could mistakenly taken as their true position on matters.

“Samuel Ortom, should appreciate the fact that Fulani’s like every other Nigerians are also Citizens who upholds a fundamental rights to live wherever and do a rightful businesses, without hates, attacks and abuses”.

They continue, “but it is on notice, that more than any other State in Nigeria, Fulani’s have suffered enough in the hands of Samuel Ortom from one attack to another, while his People’s are all over places enjoying their stay without hitches or any form of disturbance”.

Dr Bature AbdulAziz, added that the Governor Samuel Ortom who presumably is an elder and a Northerner, should be seen protecting the rights of other Ethnic Nationalities regardless of their religions and tribes but to him others should not even live as a People’s.

“Therefore, enough is enough, we expect this last unfortunate statement to be the last in his series of ungentlemanly comments so that Nigeria would continue to enjoy it’s unity”.

Dr Bature AbdulAziz, than appeals to the Fulani’s to from their hearts forgive the Governor Samuel Ortom since he has openly tendered his apologies and forget whatever he politically said.
