Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams has visited auto-crash site at “Maya-Junction”, Lanlate, Ibarapa-East LGA were almost (20) twenty passengers engulfed in flames, as a result of collision between two vehicles at the early hrs of Friday.

The CP in the company of his management team and the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa-East LGA were on ground to have an on-the -spot assessment of the incident.
In chat with Journalists, the CP said sequel to the incident the enforcement of traffic regulations would commence into the ember period to safeguard the lives of motorists and other road users from the recalcitrant ones.
This according to him would be done in concert efforts with the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) Vehicle inspection Officer ( VIO) and the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority.

He maintained that the Command is at the
moment working with relevant sister agencies to identify the deceased, while discreet investigation has commenced to demystify the root cause of the carnage, noting that updates would be provided accordingly.
