NSCDC nabs 2 for alleged theft in Jigawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command has arrested two suspects for alleged trespass, theft of a motorcycle and phones.
The NSCDC’s Public Relations Officer in the state, CSC Adamu Shehu, made the disclosure in a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday.
Shehu said that the two suspects: Sagir Hudu,20 resident of Bagiya Village Gwaram LGA and Adamu Yakubu,27, resident of Walawa Quarters, Hadejia LGA were arrested on September 6, by NSCDC operatives on routine partrol.
He explained that Sagir trespassed into the house of one Mansur Bagiya in Bagiya village and stole a Jincheng black Motorcycle, offence contrary to Sections 286 and 342 punishable under sections 287 and 348 of the State Penal Code Law.
“Investigation revealed that the suspect had previously stole six motorcycles of different types from different villages in Kwarko, Lele Kwayi under Fagam District and disposed them in Misau, a neighboring Local Government Area of Bauchi State”
Shehu  further explained that the second suspect Yakubu also trespassed into the residence of one Musa Yaya at Rinde Quarters and took away two GSM mobile handsets which include  Infinix Hot 7 and Techno A31 valued N78,000.
“Upon receipt of the complaint, Intelligence officers were dispatched to Kasuwar Taye Market (Hadejia Mobile Phone Market) on surveillance, and luckily the suspect was arrested while trying to sale the stolen phones.
“He confessed to have committed the crime”
He said that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
