The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, has been honoured with a prestigious award by the Northern Nigeria Students’ Forum in recognition of his outstanding performance in protecting lives and property of the citizens.
CP Afolabi, was bestowed with an award of “Ambassador of People for Peace, Security and Development” by the Northern Nigeria Students’ Forum for his untiring effort towards keeping the hope of Adamawa people alive.

CP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje Command’s Public Officer made the disclosure in a statement.
He said the Commissioner of Police was honoured with the award on Monday 25th September, 2023, in his office at the Police Headquarters in Yola, Adamawa state.
He maintained aside the Commissioner of Police, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje as well as the Commander Crack Squad, SP Dibal Hussein Tijjani, were presented with an Award of “Deligent Service”.
According to the students’ forum, the honour is also aimed at encouraging men and officers of the command who work relentlessly day and night to promote the peace and unity amongst diverse peoples of the state.

The Leader of the Forum, Comrade Umar D Afkawa,, while presenting the Award to the Students friendly CP, Afolabi, Babatola, applauded his zeal in sustaining the symbol of excellent leadership and peaceful coexistence between police and the public.
The CP, who received the award of “Ambassador of People for Peace, Security and Development” with joy, however commended the Northern Nigeria Student’s Forum for maintaining its core values and principles of bequeathing to the rule of Law and a sense of belonging that are fundamental to educational Advancement.

CP further reassured the students of a safer society that will constantly promote peace, tranquility, and peaceful coexistence, and thanked them for identifying and honouring him.
