The Nigerian Labor Congress, (NLC) Kano State chapter says it has received with deep shock the death of 22 Kano athletes and officials to the National sports Festival held in Ogun State.

The unfortunate incident occured after a national event that projects unity and togetherness among Nigerians
A statement signed by the acting chairman of the Congress, Comrade Auwalu Mohammed Yakasai and acting secretary, Hussaini Budah prayed to Almighty grant the deceased eternal rest and their families to have the courage to bear the irreparable loss as death is invitable.

The NLC then condoled Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Families of the bereaved as well as people and government of Kano state.
