NEMA, Local Fire Services Successfully Contain Fire Outbreak in Abuja

National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA), has received a report of a fire outbreak at the Avenue Plaza.

According to a statement on X, the Head of Abuja Operations promptly mobilized fire services and other relevant stakeholders to the scene.

The fire has since been brought under control and successfully extinguished.

Present at the scene were personnel from the Federal Fire Service, FCT Fire Service, Julius Berger Fire Service, and the Nigeria Police Force.

Following the successful extinguishing of the fire, a joint team of all stakeholders and the club owners conducted an inspection of the building to confirm that the fire was fully out.

The Head of Abuja Operations, Mr. Zakari Abubakar, expressed gratitude to all the responding stakeholders for their swift action.

He then officially handed over the scene to the Nigeria Police and declared the operation closed.
