The Abia State Commander National Drug Law
Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Commander of Narcotic Amos Adelanwa, on Friday, paid a courtesy visit to Headquarters 14 Brigade seeking robust synergy to curtail drug abuses and other crimes in Abia State and its environs.
He stated that the Nigerian Army is an organization to reckon with when it comes to the fight against drugs, crimes and other vices.

Adding that under his watch, he will collaborate more with the Army to ensure drug abuse and crimes are reduced to the barest minimum, if not
erased.
Adelanwa noted that partnership in intelligence gathering and cross-fertilization of ideas will boost the fight against drugs and other vices and help uphold peace and national security in Abia and the nation at large.
The Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Olusola Diya, welcomed the State Commander and his entourage and disclosed that no security agency can do it alone and that we need each other to succeed in our operations generally.
“National Drug Law Enforcement Agency is the
organization saddled with the responsibility to fight drugs and crimes as such it should be at the forefront of curbing crimes because most persons committing crimes are in one way or the other under the influence of drugs” Diya added.

He enjoined all security agencies to key into different programs to know each other, relate with one another and eschew rivalry, but focus on how to fight crimes in totality and make Abia crime-free. Stating that all security agencies are trained in different fields and we must all respect such professions and support each other jointly in various operations to succeed as a body.

General Diya disclosed that the benefits of cooperation are endless in security as no agency can achieve it all alone without the other.
Reiterating that there is no reasonable criminal activities that has no use of drugs, more reason why NDLEA should lead the fight why others
follow.
