The Nigerian Correctional Service, (NCoS) Controller Bauchi State Command CCS Ali Abubakar, has tasked the 20 newly promoted officers to be dedicated, diligent and hardworking in conducting their lawful duties.
Mr Ali made the disclosure in a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, ASC Ahmad Usman Tata, on Monday.
The statement said the Controller made the call while decorating the newly promoted officers of the Command in Bauchi.
“The 20 promoted Officers were elevated to the higher ranks in the recent Promotion exercise”
He congratulated the celebrants and beseeched them to consider their promotion as additional responsibility as well as counting themselves lucky considering the number of officers who sat for the examination.
The controller called on those who were not promoted to exercise patient, adding that promotion is a progressive exercise and one day will be their turn.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, DCC Iliyasu Shabul thanked the Interior Minister, CGC Haliru Nababa, and other members of the board for finding them worthy of been promoted and promised to work hard towards achieving the mandate of the service.
