Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Nasarawa State Command have arrested one Aliyu Zakari with suspected uprooted cannabis sativa plant.
CSN Milaham David Yamsak, Principal Staff Officer Media and Advocacy/Training, Nasarawa State Command made the disclosure in a statement issued on Wednesday.

He said Zakari, 30, was arrested on 29th Aug. 2023 at Tudun Kauri, Lafia on a follow up operation led by DSN Alhaji Maharazu.
Mr. Yamsak maintained that other items recovered from the Zakari, include: suspected cannabis sativa leaves which weighed 4.5kg.

Recalls that on 20th August, 2023, the Patrol Team from the State Head Quarters, NDLEA Lafia, led by CSN Chinedu Ukaegbu, during routine stop and search on Shendam Road, was also arrested one Haruna Adamu, 27, with 1.5 kg cannabis sativa, 42.1gm rohyphnol and 14.6gm methamphetamine.

He added that all the exhibits recovered were seized and the suspects will be arraigned before the court to face the full wrath of law.
