One Isyaku Ahmadu Usman ,27, who alleged to have robbed a Bajaj Motorcycle, belonging to one Abdullahi Adamu Gemu, a commercial motorcycle rider has been arrested by Jigawa Police operatives attached to Birnin kudu Divisional Police Headquarters.

DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, Police Public Relations Officer, Jigawa State Police Command, Dutse in a statement issued, Tuesday said Usman allegedly committed the offence while the victim conveying passengers.

“That on 8th July,/2023 at about 2030hrs m’ age 40yrs of Bariki village B/ Kudu LGA, reported at B/Kudu Division that on 7th July, 2023 at about 2030hrs, on his motorcycle Bajaj, red in color without registration number, valued at two hundred and thirty thousand naira (N230,000.00k) from B/kudu to Bangwalde village, unknown hoodlums attacked and beat him with sticks on his head, as a result, he fell unconscious, the armed men made away with his GSM handset and motorcycle.”
He added that on investigation at State Criminal Investigation Department SCID, Dutse, the suspect confessed to the commission of the offence.

He noted that the suspect will be arraigned in court upon completion of the investigation.
