Kano NSCDC arrests suspected cable vandals, phone snatchers, thieves, others

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Kano State Command says it has arrested no fewer than 8 suspects, alleged to have been committed various offences ranging from vandalisation of armoured cable, phone stealing, theft of Motor vehicle and a suspect arrested stealing a motorbike.

Mr Mohammed Lawal Falala Kano state Commandant, NSCDC, made the disclosure at a press briefing.

He said the arrest was part NSCDC commitments toward figthing crime and protecting of all critics’ national assets and infrastructure.

Commandant Falala stated that the Three suspected vandals include: Ibrahim Sani, Male, 25yrs, Salahu Abubakar, Male, 25yrs, Jafar Sani Male, 20 Yrs, alleged that they have been arrested in Sabon Gari Fagge LGA, while vandalising an armoured cable 7mms.

“One Aminu Adamu, Male 32yrs of Unguwar Dosa Kaduna who specialized in stealing motor vehicle. Be he commit the act, he used to produce fake plate number and vehicle’s fake particulars, (Documents).

He was arrested at Gandun Albasa within Kano Metropolis, while stealing a Toyota Corolla.

Kano NSCDC Boss further stated that exhibits recovered from Adamu include a bunch of keys, containing 13 Toyota keys, a fake plate number and a fake car particulars.

He pointed out that the 3 suspects arrested in connection with phone stealing in Dorayi/Chiranchi, Gwale LGA are Bara’u Auwalu Male 19, years. Yusuf Ibrahim, Male 18yrs and Sharhabilu Rabiu Abubakar, Male, 19yrs, noting that they have all confessed to the crime.

He added that one Sani Muazu, Male, 25yrs of Anchau, Zaria Kaduna State has been apprehended by personnel of the Corps in Rano, LGA over alleged theft of Motorcycle (Lifan)

He explained that investigation has since been concluded, explaining that suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.
