The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Kano State Command on Sunday, hosted at the command, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf who was at the command for an inspection visit.
While delivering remarks during the inspection visit and after parade of 19 suspects, the Governor, lamented the bad attitude of some youths who commit crimes, affirming the commitment and resolve of his administration towards fighting all forms of crimes in the State, particularly the rampant cases of phone snatching and vandalisation of public infrastructure.

The Governor further commended the efforts of the state Commandant, the management staff, officers and men of the command for curbing the excesses of criminal elements in Kano, revealing that the action of Civil Defence was in line and in tandem with vision and mission of his administration.
“My administration will be with you and will give you maximum cooperation and support to achieve your assigned responsibility”. His Excellency Abba Kabir said.

The number one citizen of Kano promised to assist youth with entrepreneurial skills and even the ex convicts after serving jail terms and have genuinely repented with vocational training for them to re establish themselves and reintegrate back to the society.
Earlier, the State Commandant, NSCDC Kano command, Comdt Mohammed Lawal Falala, took round the executive Governor explaining to him one after the other, exhibits recovered and the suspects recently arrested across the State committing criminal offences ranging from vandalism, phone snatching, drug ddealing and others.
The Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf was accompanied on the visit to the NSCDC’s State headquarters by his Deputy Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, Secretary to the State Government, Dr Baffa Bichi and other top government functionaries.

DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, CDPRO Kano command, in a statement said highlight of the event include a quarter guard mounted in honour of the Governor amidst intermittent melody performed by the Corps band Crew.
