Kano free trade zone donates station to FFS

The Kano Free Trade Zone has donated an ultramodern Fire Station embedded with an overhead reservoir, drill tower and well furnished administrative offices to the service.

Receiving the equipment on Friday in Kano State, The Controller General, FFS, Dr Ibrahim Liman said the contribution was critical towards effective fire management in the state.

Represented by the State Controller, Kazeem Oyefola, Mr Liman thanked the management of Kano free trade zone for the gesture and restated that the Federal Fire Service was reviewing the Operational Standard and Procedure of the National Fire Safety Code for better service delivery.

” What Kano free trade zone has done today is laudable and worthy of commendation, “I, therefore, call on other organizations and individuals to take a queue from what Kano free trade zone has done.” He said.

The Managing Director, Kano Trade Free Zone, Alhaji Muazu Sahabi, said the decision was based on their responsibility to contribute to the protection of lives and investments of citizens from fire incidence.
