Jigawa Police Recover Three Stolen Cows from Residence of Suspected Rustler

The Jigawa Police Command has said that its operatives have  successfully traced and recovered three cows suspected to be stolen from the residence of one  Muktari Ibrahim, a suspected cattle rustler .

DSP Shiisu Lawan Adam Command’s Spokesperson disclosed this in a statement.

He said  the 23-year-old Ibrahim, residing in Sabuwar Unguwa, Kiyawa LGA, was located following a tip-off received by the authorities.

According to DSP Shiisu, on November 13th, 2023, at approximately 8:00 AM, Umar Musa (20 years old) and Idris Ismail (30 years old) from Malamawa village, Kiyawa LGA, reported to the Kiyawa Divisional Police Headquarters that unknown thieves had conspired and trespassed into their houses at around 3:00 AM the same day, stealing three cows valued at ₦1,150,000.00k.

He pointed out that during questioning, Muktari Ibrahim revealed that he had received the stolen cows from a man named Yusuf, who remains at large.

He added that the recovered cows have since been released on bond to their rightful owners, stressing The police authorities are actively intensifying efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

DSP Shiisu further emphasized that upon completion of the investigation, the suspects will face legal charges in court to face the full consequences of their actions.
