The Jigawa State Police Command says it has apprehended three armed robbery suspects and recovered valuable items, including a stolen motor vehicle.
DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement issued on Monday said on 28th Sept. 2023 Sagiru Musa of Kakikankare village in Ringim LGA reported to the Ringim Police Station that unknown armed men had forcefully entered his home in the early hours of the morning and made away with his green-colored Golf 3 wagon with registration number RNG 691 AA Jigawa State, worth N1,800,000.

The PPRO further said the suspects also took two Tecno keypad phones and various important documents.
“Upon receiving the report, the detectives from Ringim Division wasted no time in launching an investigation.
“The diligent efforts of the police led to the arrest of Yakubu Adamu and Hamisu Adamu, both residents of Narewa village in Ringim LGA, as well as Abubakar Sani from Yankaba Quarters in Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.”
He added that during the arrest, the police successfully recovered a Beretta pistol and four rounds of ammunition from the suspects.

He pointed out that during the interrogation, both Yakubu and Abubakar admitted their involvement in the crime and revealed that the stolen vehicle had already been sold in Maradi city, Niger Republic.
“The police are currently making efforts to apprehend the remaining suspects and recover the stolen vehicle.”

PPRO added that Jigawa State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, expressed gratitude for the swift action taken by the detectives in solving this case.
They reassured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.
