Gunmen abduct 2 in Gombe, CP Etim orders anti-kidnapping unit to ensure victims release

Gunmen suspected to be Kidnappers have reportedly abducted two victims in Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe state.

The two victims included man and a woman, they were abducted yesterday midnight after their village was raided by Gunmen shooting sporadically in the air.

A resident of the Area, Alhaji Mustapha Umar Shabewa in a chat with journalists said his wife, Amina Usman Aliyu and his brother, Alhaji Mustapha Umar Shabewa were the affected victims.

He revealed that the Gunmen forcefully entered their houses and proceeded to abduct them to unknown destination.

However, when contacted the Gombe State Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar he confirmed the incident.

He stated that the Commissioner of Police Cp Oqua Etim has directed the Operational Unit of Dukku Division and Anti Kidnapping of the Command to ensure the victims are rescued unhurt.

The police Command urged public to remain calm and cooperate with the security agencies by providing any relevant information that may aid in the rescue operation.

He stressed that the safety and well-being of the abducted victims remain the top priority, and every effort will be made to ensure their safety.
