Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the payment of registration fees for 3,526 community and voluntary school students to sit for this year’s National Examinations Council (NECO) and the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) examinations.
The Governor’s Special Adviser on Information, Ibrahim Adam, stated this in a statement.

Ibrahim Adam said Governor Yusuf decided to cover the registration fees for all community and voluntary school students who passed their qualifying examinations.
According to him, the Kano Educational Resource Department (KERD) has urged the students to report to their respective schools for data capture and thumbprinting.

It can be recalled that Governor Yusuf recently paid NECO fees for 111,316 students from state-owned public schools in Kano.
