Gov. Abba condoles Gwarzo LGA over death of Chief Imam, Usman Amu

The Kano State Governor, Alh. Abba Kabir Yusuf has extended his condolences to the family and entire people of Gwarzo Local Government Area (LGA) following the tragic death of their Chief Imam, Alh. Usman Amu.

The Governor expressed his deep sorrow over the untimely demise of Alh. Amu through his Deputy, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who also serves as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen by Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu.

According to the statement, late Usman Amu, a respected figure in Gwarzo LGA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday after a brief illness. The news of his demise has left the community in a state of mourning and sadness.

Gov. Yusuf emphasized the tremendous contributions made by the late Chief Imam in the development of religious affairs in Gwarzo LGA and his unwavering commitment to preaching peace in the community.

In his address to the grieving community, Governor Abba said, “His passing is a great loss not only to his family and Gwarzo LGA alone but also to the entire state. We pray Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdaus.”

The governor urged the people of Gwarzo LGA to remain united and offer support to one another as they mourn the loss of their beloved Chief Imam

Alh. Usman Amu who passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness, left behind wives and several children.
