The Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) on Saturday commissioned befitting Accident and Emergency Clinic in Kano Sector Command named after the current Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed.
The Clinic was part of the symbol and FRSC’s collectictive commitment towards improving rescue services and providing prompt attention and care to victims of road Traffic Crashes in Kano State.
In a remark, the Corps Marshal of the FRSC, Mr. Shehu Mohammed said the project represents accomplishments of the Commission’s cardinal objectives for ensuring prompt attention and care to victims of Road Traffic Crashes in Nigeria.
He further said the project served as a reflection of the the Commission’s collective effort at ensuring that Goal 1 of the FRSC 2024 Strategic Goals which focused on reduction of Road Traffic Deaths and Injuries by 5 percent is achieved.
” I feel honoured that the project is named after me am I am particularly grateful to the outgoing Sector Commander, ACM AT Mohammed for this remarkable gesture. I commend his dedication and outstanding commitment towards actualizing this important project within barely 3 months of his assumption of office as Sector Commander.”

The FRSC Boss reminded that the Corps under his leadership has launched a Mobile Application, which is a one- stop-shop for all FRSC’s products and Services.
The Corps Marshal emphasized that the Applications generates real time data on operational activities, Road Traffic Crashes, Data management and Road Accident, noting that it also provides opportunities for feedback from road users on FRSC’s products and services.

In his speech, Secretary to the Kano State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi said the State Government is following with keen interest the new innovations brought into FRSC by the current leadership of the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed within a short period of his administration.
He expressed delight for the FRSC’s leadership on the use of digital technology to improve the operational and administrative activities of the Corps.
“The recent launching of Mobile Application and National Crash Information Recording System, (NACRIS), by his administration will surely assist in achieving operational excellence in the Corps.”
Dr Bichi added, significantly, the establishment of this Clinic is indeed in line with His Excellency’s commitment to delivering effective medical services to the people of Kano State. Without a doubt, the Clinic assist in realiving the pressure on the health-care system in Kano State while providing alternative and easy access to medical services. In addition, it will serve as a step-forward in achieving the objective of FRSC for rendering prompt attention to victims of Road Traffic Crashes in Nigeria.

Earlier in his address, the Kano Sector Commander ACM Ahmed Tijjani Mohammed said the initiative for the project was born out of his desire to contribute positively towards achieving Goal 1 of the FRSC 2024 Corporate Strategic Goals which centred around accomplishing 5 percent reduction in Road Traffic Deaths and Injuries.
He stressed that the Clinic will greatly benefit the people of Kano as it will provide easy access to medical.
